What size Vehicle do you use?
We have a 24m cube truck, that is suitable for large 2 bedroom or small 3 bedroom house moves.
What can’t you move in the truck?
Dangerous goods and Perishable items, also dirty and dangerous items that could endanger our movers or other people.
Do you offer insurance?
No, we do not, we carry goods at “owners risk’. We recommend obtaining your own insurance for the move if you desire to do so.
How do you charge for each move?
We charge an hourly rate and a travel fee from our home base of Tawa, and back to our home base of Tawa at the end of the day, See prices page for charges.
Do you move high value items?
Yes in some circumstances we can. its best to ask prior to moving day if there’s any concern with said item.
Will you dismantle and reassemble furniture?
Some items we will dismantle to make it easier to pack and travel in the truck with. such as bed frames and some furniture. however kit sets and items that take a long time will not be dismantled and either put in the truck as is, if possible or not be able to be moved. Any items of concern should be noted before moving day. We do not reassemble furniture at the final location however.
Do I need to empty fridges/freezers, washing machines etc?
Yes, to help with moving and to make items easier to lift and less likely to do any damage, its best for these items to be emptied before the move takes place.
Do you offer fixed price?
No, we do not, as some moves can take longer and some shorter, dependant on a range of factors including amount to be moved, and terrain to be travelled, such as multiple stairs building access. We rely on our hourly charge.
Do you move heavy/large items?
We will move large and heavy items that can be carried by 2 strong people. any items that require more than 2 people must either be broken down to allow them to be moved by 2 people or they may be at risk of not being moved. its best to contact us before the move to arrange prior notice of said items.
Do you supply packing materials?
Yes, we can supply packing materials, such as boxes, packing tape, moving bags. See prices list for items. its best to have this pre arranged so we can bring the items on the day.
Do you have storage for items?
No, we do not have storage, we can possibly store the items in the truck at your own risk, over night or a couple of days at a charge, or we can move items to a storage facility you have arranged yourself.
Do you charge travel fees
Yes, we charge travel fees to and from our home base. Our home base is Tawa, which we will charge a fee from at the start of the day, and a fee to go back to at the end of the day. See prices list for travel fee charges for your location.
Do you do long distance moves
Unfortunately not at the moment. We only move within the Wellington region currently.
Do you have a minimum cost?
Yes, we have a minimum charge of 3 hours at our hourly rate and a travel fee to and from our home base.
How long do your moves take?
Typical moves for us can take 4-6 hours for a 2 bedroom move and 6-8 hours for a 3 bedroom move. 4 + bedroom moves can take longer which we will do, but it may take up to 10 -12 hours depending on the amount of stuff you have and the terrain and topography we need to traverse and building access for us and the truck.
