1. Services provided.
1.1 – Matt’s Movers is a furniture removal company, we mainly move furniture, so we do not pack nor disassemble, or reassemble goods at pick up or drop off locations, unless it helps speed up a move or to navigate tricky moves, i.e. corner stairwells.
1.2 – Matt’s Movers will provide the truck and the workers to transport the goods for the duration of the move. Due to unforeseen circumstances such as a worker or a truck needing to be replaced this will be at Matt’s Movers cost.
2. Transport of goods.
2.1 – Matt’s Movers will not transport heavy or large items that can not fit inside the truck without the rear doors being closed.
2.2 – Matt’s Movers will not transport dangerous or flammable goods in the truck.
2.3 – Matt’s Movers will not carry items that are too dirty or infested with bugs/insects.
3.Damaged or loss of goods
3.1 – Whilst Matt’s Movers will do their best to ensure we transport your goods securely and safely, we know accidents may happen, due to this goods transported with Matt’s Movers are transported at “owners risk”. Meaning Matt’s Movers bear no responsibility for damaged or loss goods.
3.2 – Matt’s Movers will do their best to ensure no damage is done to property interiors or exteriors or any building/property items during the move. Moves with Matt’s Movers will be at “owners risk” so will be no responsibility for repairs nor costs due to any damage that may result from a move.
4. Payment
4.1 – Payment is to be made at the completion of the job.
4.2 – Payment can be made by the way of cash, or a bank transfer.
4.3 – Payment must be made within 7 days of the completion of the service provided by Matt’s Movers.
4.4 – If payment is not made you will be liable for debt and collection costs.
4.5 – The full amount must be paid at the completion of the job, including services provided, travel costs and all costs as per invoice.
5. Insurance
5.1 – We do not provide insurance for your move.
5.2 – All goods will be transported at “OWNERS RISK” under the Carriage of Goods Act.
6. Warranties/Idemnities by customer
6.1 – The customer will ensure that Matt’s Movers can be granted access to both properties on the day of your move, as we will not wait for settlements or delays to that can take our time to complete your move efficiently.
6.2 – The customer will ensure Matts’ Movers has access to buildings, lifts, clear access for our truck to get on site as close to the property as possible to ensure a fast and efficient move for you and us.
6.3 – The customer will ensure to give Matt’s Movers as detailed description of items to be transported as possible. This includes any heavy or large items and the amount of boxes to be transported.
6.4 – The customer to ensure that any items they have packed and packaged themselves are done so in a satisfactory way as to not damage any other items nor do any damage to Matt’s Movers property or be a danger that risks the health of our workers.
6.5 – If they customer is unsure of any items that may put our workers or the public at risk, or they may be to heavy or large to move, to notify Matt’s Movers as soon as they possibly can before the move.
7. Cancellations
7.1 – Matt’s Movers reserves the right to postpone or cancel moves due to unforeseen circumstances at its own discretion, with no reimbursement of costs.
7.2 – If you cancel a move with Matt”s Movers within 24 hours of a set moving time, you may be liable for costs of up to an hours cost at our hourly rate of $180.
